Mountain Safety

Not only on the roads, but also on the slopes, it is necessary to follow the rules of safe riding. Since 2009, these rules have been established as ČSN standards, and their violation is therefore punishable.

The Ten Rules of Safe Behavior on the Slopes:

safe-mountains-logo.jpeg

  • Respect for other skiers and snowboarders
  • Control of speed and manner of skiing
  • Choice of route
  • Overtaking
  • Entering and starting
  • Stopping
  • Climbing and descending
  • Respecting signs
  • Behavior in case of accidents
  • Duty to identify oneself

It is also important to pay attention to the proper equipment and gear on the slopes. In cooperation with Bezpečné hory (Safe Mountains) we will introduce you to the basic rules for mountain equipment.

Even on the slopes, injuries cannot always be avoided. If an injury occurs, it is necessary to follow the basic rules of conduct to prevent further possible accidents.

Even experienced skiers can make mistakes. Therefore, do not underestimate spatial orientation, whether in a familiar or unfamiliar environment. Safe Mountains has several tips for you on how to always keep the right direction.

Especially in the mountains, the weather is unstable and hard to predict, so you should always follow the advice of locals.

You can find many more tips and rules on the Safe Mountains website, which is a partner of SKiMU.
