Stage I: Connecting the Pomezky and U Kostela Ski Areas
October 1, 2019
One of the main new features of this season in the Malá Úpa Ski Area is the launch of Stage I of the connection between the Pomezky and U Kostela areas.
We’ve decided to move with the times – innovation, improvement, simplification, and above all, comfort. This season, you’ll be able to ski even more in Malá Úpa, skiing directly from Pomezky all the way to the U Kostela area. This is the first stage of connecting both ski areas, aiming to eliminate the ski bus line in the future.
Not only the National Park but also tourists are increasingly looking for peace and harmony with nature. We love this direction and believe it’s the RIGHT path.
Detailed explanation of the transfer between areas:
From Pomezky to U Kostela:
As mentioned, you can ski directly from Pomezky to U Kostela. From Trautenberk Brewery, a ski trail leads to the Kolbenka lift. The lift takes you up, and you’ll connect to the Moravanská link, which takes you straight into U Kostela. Both trails are gentle slopes suitable for all skill levels – even kids will love this connection!
If you prefer not to take the Kolbenka lift, a ski bus is available from Trautenberk Brewery.
From U Kostela to Pomezky:
From the other side, a new adventure awaits – the new Vlčí link slope. Take the Rennerovka lift in U Kostela, then connect to the Vlčí link, which ends at the Kolbenka lift. From there, you’ll need to remove your skis and take the ski bus to the final stop: Trautenberk Brewery. :)
