From Every Corner to Malá Úpa!

That sounds like a great trip – both on bikes and on the trail.

In the Hradec Králové Region, tourists flock to Malá Úpa by bike and on foot in the summer, thanks to nine bike bus routes that run across the peaks of the Krkonoše Mountains. This transport network may seem complicated at first sight, but timetables are available on the Idos.cz app, so there is no need to worry.

Two to three lines serve Malá Úpa – specifically Line 1, Line 4A and Line 4B, comfortably connecting you from Vrchlabí, Jilemnice, Janské Lázně, Trutnov, Hradec Králové, Náchod, Úpice and Červený Kostelec.

Bike buses run from May 25 to September 30. In June, they operate only on weekends. In July and August, they run daily. In September, on Thursdays, weekends, and holidays. No seat reservations are available.

All bike buses arrive in Malá Úpa around 10 AM – a perfect time for a snack before the trip.

Café in Malá Úpa

Located at 1050 m above sea level in Centrum Hořec, which underwent complete reconstruction. The café offers delicious coffee, sweet and savory pancakes (also gluten-free and lactose-free options), desserts and more. The interior features topographic lines of the Krkonoše with Sněžka and nearby peaks.

Centrum Hořec also includes a souvenir shop, a cinema, and an e-bike rental – which serves skiers in winter.
