Following Fairy Tales in Malá Úpa
Family-friendly trip with a reward!
The total length of the Fairy Tale Trail is 18 km. But it is not necessary to complete the trail in one day. The trail consists of several circuits around Malá Úpa. Along the way, you will encounter 10 information boards with fairy tales (translated into three languages) and several playful elements for children.
Recommended division into three loops:
- Pomezní Boudy, stops 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 – Spálený Mlýn approx. 7 km (initially flat, then mostly downhill, with a mild ascent from stop 5 to the church) (return by bus to Pomezní Boudy).
- Church (historic center of the village) – loop around Kraví hora, stops 6 and 7 (approx. 3.5 km, mostly flat).
- Church – via Moravanka to Pacestník (stop 8, then steep descent to Cestník, stop 9) – return along red asphalt road to the church (approx. 5 km). Stop 8 is located at nearly 1100 m a.s.l.
